Northern Industrial Park Utility Development Project

The Government passed its decision no. 1314/2021. (V. 27.) on the requisite measures to develop the public utility network and create public utility connections as part of the development of the Northern Industrial Park located on the outskirts of Zalaegerszeg and on supporting the project from the central budget.

During the period between the approval of Government Decision no. 1314/2021. (V. 27.) in December 2020 and its publication on 27 May 2021, further business organisations resolved to settle in the Northern Industrial Park and made demands for utilities that necessitated the review and redesign of the original project.

The Government passed its decision no. 1142/2022. (III. 10.) to modify its decision no. 1314/2021. (V. 27.) on the requisite measures to develop the public utility network and create public utility connections as part of the development of the Northern Industrial Park located on the outskirts of Zalaegerszeg and on supporting the project from the central budget.

The development of the core infrastructure of the Northern Industrial Park in Zalaegerszeg is a requisite for the implementation of further high-priority, state financed, industrial, civil engineering projects in future.

Development components:

• Conducting a feasibility study on how to increase the capacity of the geothermal heating system
• The development of the infrastructure for communal drinking water distribution and wastewater collection
• Rainwater drainage
• Acquiring property to place utility network facilities
• The development of gas supply
• The development of electricity supply
• The development of the telecommunications network
